Rochester
and greater area map
A helpful map of the Rochester area with an option to zoom out to
views of the greater Vermont area and New England Coast.
From Burlington (less scenic)
Take Interstate 89 South~66 miles to Vermont Exit 3 (Bethel). Make
a right off the exit onto Route 107 and proceed ~2.8 miles towards
the village of Bethel. Stay on Route 107 when it takes a hard left
just as you enter Bethel. (You will pass under a small stone railroad
bridge after this left turn). Continue to follow Route 107 along
the White River for ~11 miles. At the intersection with Route 100,
take a sharp right onto Route 100 North (it is easy to miss this
turn and simply continue south on Route 107/100, if you reach the
village of Pittsfield you have gone too far and missed the turn).
Follow the road as you cross the White River and come to a flashing
red light. Turn left at the light and continue to follow Route 100
North. Rochester is another 7 miles north of there.
From Burlington (more scenic)
This route is highly recommended for those who will be driving during
the day. Take Interstate 89 South to Exit 10 (Waterbury). Follow
the signs to Route 100 South. Take Route 100 South for about 35
miles to Rochester. You'll pass through the towns of Duxbury, Waitsfield,
Warren, Granville and Hancock, before reaching Rochester village.
From Bennington/Brattleboro/Manchester, VT
travel north on Rt 7 to Rutland, take Route 4 East toward Killington/Pico,
take left fork onto Route 100 North, follow 100 to fork of Route
100/107, stay on Route 100 toward Rochester.
From Manchester, NH
Take Interstate 293 South to Interstate 93 North (toll road). Follow
I-93 for about 16 miles and take Interstate 89 North toward Lebanon/White
River Junction. You will stay on 89 all the way though New Hampshire
and into Vermont then take Vermont Exit 3 (Bethel). Make a right
off the exit onto Route 107 and proceed ~2.8 miles towards the village
of Bethel. Stay on Route 107 when it takes a hard left just as you
enter Bethel. (You will pass under a small stone railroad bridge
after this left turn.) Continue to follow Route 107 along the White
River for ~11 miles. At the intersection with Route 100, take a
sharp right onto Route 100 North (it is easy to miss this turn and
simply continue south on Route 107/100, if you reach the village
of Pittsfield you have gone too far and missed the turn). Follow
the road as you cross the White River and come to a flashing red
light. Turn left at the light and continue to follow Route 100 north.
Rochester is another 7 miles North of there.
